The Universe Star Collection embodies the grandeur of the universe through ceramics. The infinite vastness, celestial beauty, and the mystery of the cosmos serve as the main sources of inspiration for the collection, infusing each piece with the eternal essence of the universe.

우주 별 컬렉션은 우주의 웅장함을 도자기에 구현해냅니다. 무한한 광활함, 천상의 아름다움, 그리고 우주의 신비로움이 컬렉션의 가장 큰 영감의 원천이 되어, 각 작품에 우주의 영원함을 불어넣습니다.

We are stars in the vast universe.

The 100 billion stars that shine like the sun within our galaxy are similar to us, born as precious lives on Earth, each radiating a unique light. Though they move in different directions, the stars appear fixed in the sky, and gazing at them, I thought to myself that in this immeasurably vast universe, we are all like those stars.

우리는 거대한 우주 속의 별입니다.

은하계 안에서 태양처럼 스스로 빛을 내는 1000억 개의 별들은, 지구 안에서 소중한 생명으로 태어나 각자 서로 다른 빛을 발하며 살아가는 우리들의 모습과 닮아있습니다. 각기 다른 방향으로 움직이고 있지만 하늘에서는 위치가 변하지 않아 보이는 별을 보며, 측정할 수도 없이 광활한 우주 속에서 우리 모두는 그런 존재일 거라는 생각을 했습니다.

"If you truly desire something, the whole universe will help you achieve it." This quote is from Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist. The artist, who has always had a deep love for the universe and stars, has kept this phrase in their heart and repeated it whenever they desperately wished for something, or whenever facing life's challenges. In 2008, while majoring in ceramics at university, the artist decided to capture the universe and stars—embodying "love, faith, conviction, and hope"—in ceramics, which remain unchanged forever. This led to the creation of the first piece, the Cosmic Star Ceramic.

'간절히 원하면 온 우주가 우리를 도와준다.' 이는 파울로 코엘료의 연금술사에 나온 문구입니다. 우주와 별을 유독 좋아했던 작가는, 무언가 간절히 원할 때마다, 아니 삶을 살아가며 언제나 이 문구를 마음속에 담고 되뇌었습니다. 그리고 2008년, 대학에서 도예를 전공하고 있을 때, 내가 바라는 '사랑과 믿음, 신념과 희망'을 지닌 우주와 별을 영원히 변하지 않는 도자기에 담아 보기로 했습니다. 그때 처음 만들게 된 게 바로 <우주별 도자기>입니다.

The stars of the universe engraved on the surface of the ceramics serve as a reminder not to forget that we are but one existence in the vast cosmos. The Cosmic Star series carries the messages that the artist believes are the most important in life: "love, faith, conviction, and hope."

도자기 표면에 새겨진 우주의 별들은 각각의 일상 속에서 우리가 우주에 한 존재라는 생각을 잊지 않게 합니다. 우주별 작업에는 작가가 생각하기에 살아가면서 가장 중요하다고 생각하는 '사랑과 믿음, 신념과 희망' 의 메세지가 담겨있습니다.

"Universe Star" is a piece that captures the Milky Way, also known as our galaxy, in ceramics. It vividly portrays the appearance of the galaxy, including our solar system and countless stars, and is considered by the artist to be the work that best captures the true essence of the Cosmic Star.

"우주별"은 지구에서 은하수라고도 불리는 우리 은하를 도자기에 담아 표현한 작품입니다. 태양계를 포함하여 수많은 항성들을 주체로 하는 은하계의 모습을 생생하게 표현하며, 작가가 우주별의 본연의 느낌을 가장 잘 담았다고 생각하는 작품입니다.

Each "Universe Star" possesses its own unique light and color, expressed in various forms. Some works may resemble a dog, others a bird, or even a part of the moon. These diverse shapes and colors symbolize the infinite possibilities and diversity of the universe.

각 "우주별"은 모두 다른 빛과 색을 지니고 있으며, 다양한 모양으로 표현되어 있습니다. 어떤 작품은 강아지처럼 보이기도 하고, 새처럼 보이기도 하며, 달의 일부처럼 보이기도 합니다. 이러한 다양한 형태와 색채는 우주의 무한한 가능성과 다양성을 상징합니다.
